[Interview] What makes restaurants fail?

The secrets of booming restaurant success

Just a quick reminder of a very special guest I'm bringing in (tomorrow) on Monday, Oct. 14th to my radio show, KXFM Radio, 104.7 FM.

You can tune in and turn on three ways:

  1. Turn your radio dial to 104.7 FM while you're in the city of Laguna Beach.

  2. You can stream it anywhere in the world at KXFMRadio.org

  3. Or you can download the app, “KXFM Radio,” from Google Play and the App Store.

I’m beginning a partnered series with the most successful Restaurant Designer & Consultant in the country.

Dallas-based Bruce Russo will be joining me for tomorrow’s important interview. In fact, we’re going to be doing this series together every three weeks at the Best of Laguna Beach™ Radio show and podcast.

Bruce Russo is considered one of the greatest restaurant designers in the United States, having designed 600 concepts. He has won 37 #1 National awards. He has created 20 of his own food and beverage concepts that he’s tested fully and is now licensing to investors who just want to move into a space and enjoy a successful concept.

What makes a successful restaurant happen?

We're coming together to talk at KXFM Radio 104.7 about what makes a restaurant thrive, what makes a restaurant fail, and how to mend the pieces so that you are on the “Thrive Side.”

This information is so applicable – not only to current restaurant owners, potential investors, and potential restaurant owners but to the patrons themselves to help everyone understand what goes into creating a thriving restaurant experience.

It's not just the menu.
It's not just the chef.
It is a combination of how the physical property works, and how the user experience works.

Feel free to share this exciting series with friends, fellow restaurant peers and your own city’s community development personnel.

Bruce is going to be talking more about how the physical property works as both a backdrop as well as how it’s geared for its daily operational dance. This has been his “thing” for decades. I'm going to be talking more from the branding and user experience side from my years of restaurant consulting. This has been my “thing” for 21 years now as I’ve worked with restaurants all over the country, too.

I look forward to “seeing” you Monday, Oct. 14th, 2:00 PM PDT, 5:00 PM EDT. Tune in. Turn on. We'll see you there.

P.S. The recorded replays of these interviews will be available first to my V.I.P. paid subscribers and then released to everyone in my subscriber list + the podcast world. If you’re not already one of my V.I.P. Subscribers (for whom I’m eternally grateful) there’s more info right here on all the benefits you receive with your low-cost investment as a V.I.P. paid subscriber.
