Update: Laguna Beach elections

City Council and School Board updates

Hello readers,

If you’ve been following the two primary races in Laguna Beach, you’ll see by the below numbers that no positions have changed since Wednesday morning. This was just pulled minutes ago from the OCVote.Gov website. Keep in mind, these are still “Unofficial Election Results,” although Laguna Beach is “fully reported.”

Laguna Beach City Council - 2 seats to be filled

As it stands now, Hallie Jones will be joining the City Council for the first time (this was her first campaign) and Bob Whalen will be returning for his fourth term; he has served five mayoral terms in his 12 years to date:

Laguna Beach School District Board - 2 seats to be filled

As it stands now, Sheri Morgan and Howard Hills will join the board as newcomers, both of whom ran previous campaigns - Sheri ran in 2020 and Howard ran in 2016.
