Friday Nights Go Nautical with Dana Wharf’s Live Music Cruises
+ Your life COULD be a Cabaret …
In my radio show this Monday, I talked about two fun, upcoming live music events but there was so much to unpack with Mike DeSanti and our incoming Board & Brew restaurant that I decided to give these live music venues their OWN space today!
Dana Wharf Re-Launches Their Fun “Live Music Cruises” Tomorrow (Fri. July 18th)
Last week, my dear friend, Donna from Dana Wharf in the Dana Point Harbor, called to remind me that their best-selling Live Music Cruises are back starting this Friday, July 18th. These cruises are a hoot!
The Music Cruise runs from 8 - 9:30 pm every Friday. 21 and over only. And this week, they’re launching the entire series with a truly fun band that’s back by popular demand, “Bunch of Guys.” Grab tickets for just $38 per (+fee)
As we all know, Dana Wharf (DanaWharf.com) is best known for their immensely popular whale watching cruises. They were, in fact, the first entity in California to start whale watching tours in 1971, and they still take groups out 3-4 times every day. PLENTY of whales in our seas year-round, I can vouch for that! And, of course, the dolphins always find their way to the Dana Wharf crowds.
While I’m always up for a great whale & dolphin watching cruise (I go yearly at least!), I love all the other inventive things Dana Wharf does, too - including this summery Live Music Cruise.
🎸 For starters, it’s a GREAT band.
🍷 Then, it’s inventive wines from all over the world, poured by our own Laguna Beach Organic Cellar Wines (thank you, Brian) + full bar mixed drinks.
🛥️ And you’re cruising the lovely Dana Point Harbor, so no need to worry about a rocking boat that spills your wine on someone else’s lap. All that’s rocking is the music!
Do something different this Friday night - you’re really going to love it.
Life Is a Cabaret – And, Lucky For You, You’ve Got Another Chance to Live It
Last Friday, Ruben Flores re-launched his “Live Cabaret” series at Laguna Nursery, 481 N. Coast Highway (at Myrtle). It was a welcome return as he hasn’t hosted a Cabaret in about 7 years. And, boy howdy, was it ever awesome … quite a lovely jazz bistro evening.
He asked none other than national TV star, recording artist and Cabaret Diva Andrea Miller to relaunch the series, and this jazz singer is just impeccable.
I’ve seen Andrea perform several times at The Drake (always great and with her 10-year accompanist Mark Lebrun, who’s equally as awesome), but it’s quite a difference in this smaller group setting without the buzz of a busy restaurant around.
Lucky for you, Ruben has again booked Andrea for Friday, Aug. 8th
You think that’s a long time away? Not at the rate these tix flew at the last event. Drop into Laguna Nursery for your $50 ticket, or call the Nursery at (949) 494-5200 to reserve your seats.
Make it a great weekend!
