You folks are going wild with my #1 Taco in Laguna Beach survey
Yesterday on my radio show, KX FM 104.7 … the longtime radio station in Laguna Beach … I talked about National Taco Day coming up next week, and I announced that I’ve posted a survey to tell me where your favorite taco is in Laguna Beach and what that particular taco is.
Now, when I announced it, I didn't think that the response would be so … adamant. We had 100 responses in a matter of a few hours. And SurveyMonkey was like, "Okay, that's it. The survey is closed."
"No!" says I. "You can't close it! Clearly people have opinions!" So I just went into SurveyMonkey, I reopened it, and it's open now for 1,000 responses. Bring it on:
P.S. PLEASE don’t try to stuff the ballot box. It’s a really obvious ploy, my friends, and will DQ your taco.

What this voting frenzy absolutely proves is what I've been telling all of you for years: When I’m the one who comes up with my “top 5 of Laguna” or my “top 10 of Laguna” … especially when it comes to hamburgers, margaritas, tacos, and soup … soup for some reason … you stone me in the streets!!
So this time YOU get to tell ME what your favorite tacos are, and I will be announcing it live at KX FM 104.7 next Monday in my show, Best of Laguna Beach, at 2:00 PM PDT/5:00 PM EDT.
I’ll also be interviewing one of our Mexican restaurant chef operators in town. He’s talking about the genius idea he came up with as an extension of his restaurant that created a very lovely fortune for him.

The radio link from this Monday's show. I had my dear friend, Laguna Nursery’s Ruben Flores, in studio with me and we covered a host of Laguna topics.
My full review of Evans Gourmet, with Chef Evan Lewis. This is the lovely restaurant that has taken over the ROUX location, also the former Cafe Zoolu space at 860 Glenneyre Street. Chef Evan is a Laguna Beach “native” and I didn't even know that she'd been in that space for eight months!
SPOILER ALERT: The entire experience is absolutely stellar. If you don't want to wait till tomorrow, I would say pick up the phone and reserve over at Evans Gourmet, 949-388-1568 because she's got it rocking.
